Velvet Hour

CommercialClient: Maison Velours30s hero + cutdowns
Model lit by magenta gels for a fragrance commercial

Overview: a fragrance you can almost see

Maison Velours launched its evening fragrance with a single demand: make the audience smell it through the screen. We answered with texture — rain on neon, velvet in macro, breath in cold air — cut to a heartbeat rhythm across thirty seconds.

Shot over two nights in a dressed alley set, the spot ran across streaming, cinema pre-rolls and paid social, with vertical cutdowns built from dedicated takes rather than crops.

The challenge

Scent has no picture. The concept lived or died on suggestion — too literal and it becomes a perfume ad cliché, too abstract and nobody remembers the bottle. Everything had to be felt, nothing explained.

The approach

We shot the product only three times and spent the rest on sensation: macro textures, slow-motion rain, breath fogging in violet light. Anamorphic lenses stretched every practical into a streak of color, and the sound design carries the idea the picture only implies.
